ARMA announced competitions for the management of seized apartments for defenders and those affected by the war
The National Agency of Ukraine for Detection, Investigation and Management of Assets Obtained from Corruption and Other Crimes (ARMA) announced the start of a series of competitions for the management of seized apartments, which will be provided for the needs of Ukrainian defenders, their families, and those who have lost their homes due to the war. This is reported by 'Glavkom' citing ARMA.
ARMA Chair Olena Duma presented this initiative during the IV Legal Forum EU-Eastern Partnership 2025. The new direction for the use of seized assets aims to provide direct support to Ukrainian military personnel and civilians affected by the conflict.
‘While lawmakers delay the adoption of bill No. 11009 to protect the military, ARMA continues to work. We have developed a social pilot project. We took into account recommendations from public stakeholders, as well as possible risks, including the lifting of seizures. We are preparing a series of competitions for the management of seized residential premises. The apartments that the newly appointed manager will transfer to our defenders, IDPs, and for the needs of those who lost their homes due to the war under the terms of the contract,’ said Olena Duma.
‘In the period of full-scale war, every asset is a resource for the resilience of the state. And our task is to turn a legally complex case into a tangible result for Ukraine,’ concluded Olena Duma.
The pilot project for the transfer of seized apartments to military personnel will be another step by ARMA towards the effective use of criminal assets for the benefit of Ukrainian society and the Defense Forces.
It is worth noting that refugees from Ukraine have been increasingly working in the Czech Republic, positively impacting economic indicators, as reported by the Czech Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.
