Bloomberg revealed the US requirements for Russia to make peace: what Putin will have to give up.

According to a report by Bloomberg, the United States will demand that Russia recognize Ukraine's right to its own army and defense industry, as stipulated in a peace agreement between Moscow and Kyiv. US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff plans to raise this issue at the next meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
This demand will mean that Putin will have to agree to the existence of armed forces in Ukraine, which contradicts his stated military goal of demilitarizing Ukraine. Additionally, the US also wants the return of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, which Russia seized in 2022, and to ensure Ukraine has access to the Dnipro River and the return of occupied territories in the Kharkiv region.
However, Russia continues to bombard Ukrainian cities even during negotiations and demands recognition of the entire territory of the Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, and Kherson regions, although it has failed to fully occupy them. Last night, Russia carried out the largest airstrike of the year against Ukraine, attacking Kyiv and killing at least 12 people.
In his address on the social media platform Truth Social, US President Donald Trump criticized the Russian strikes and called on Putin to stop and make a peace treaty. A meeting also took place between Trump's team and representatives from Europe and Ukraine, during which it was proposed that the US recognize Crimea as Russian, freeze occupied territories, and lift sanctions on Moscow in exchange for an agreement.
The US indicated that any peace agreement must guarantee Ukraine's security and be supported, but did not specify how this would be achieved. The details of the plans have not yet been announced and may change.
