Finland has created the world's first national soundscape
A unique national soundscape has been created in Finland, combining natural sounds with music. Its compositions convey the atmosphere of Finnish natural landscapes, using the sound of leaves and the rustle of grass together with instrumental music. According to the Finnish ambassador for culture and creative industries, this soundscape helps people relax and find peace and tranquility.
«Finns have always been deeply connected to their native nature and the cultural heritage of their ancestors. We believe that our soundscape will bring a sense of calm and tranquility to people's daily lives for a moment. People can use this music to relax, stop, and reflect»
The music collection titled 'Sounds: The Official Soundscape of Finland' includes 15 compositions created by Finnish composer Lauri Porra. He created this music for himself to convey his Finnish identity and reflect on important things while being away from home.
Recently, lists of the most popular songs and artists among Ukrainians were published, as well as the names of the finalists for the national selection for Eurovision-2025.
