By the way, the referees' committee of UAF commented on the situation related to the non-recognition of a goal by FC 'Shakhtar' in the match of the 25th round of the VBET Ukrainian Premier League FC 'Shakhtar' (Donetsk) – FC 'Koloss' (Kovalivka), which took place on April 19, 2025.

The non-recognition of the goal occurred due to a violation of the Laws of the Game – the 'offside' position of a player from FC 'Shakhtar'. According to the protocol and recommendations for VAR, it is mandatory to check the initial phase of attacking actions for each scored goal (from intercepting the ball to scoring a goal). In this episode, during the VAR check of the attack development by 'Shakhtar' players, an intervention of player 'Shakhtar' No. 6 was identified, who was in an 'offside' position, after which the ball was scored into the goal of FC 'Koloss'. Due to technical problems in the VAR room that did not allow to graphically confirm the 'offside' position of the aforementioned player, a lot of time was needed to confirm the decision to cancel the goal. This time was fully compensated at the end of the match.
