Forest fires in the Amur region continue
A massive forest fire continues in the Amur region of Russia. This is reported by Glavkom referring to Russian media.
It is noted that the flames have already approached the highway Blagoveshchensk - Svobodny closely. The most difficult situation is observed near the village of Moskvitino. There, drivers are forced to pass through thick smoke and fire.
Witnesses report that the flames have engulfed thousands of trees, and the sky is covered with black smoke. Drivers are also publishing footage of the terrible fire.
A special fire safety regime has been declared in the region. There are currently no official comments from the local authorities and the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations. Earlier, it became known that the police evacuated the cities of Eshtaol and Mesilat Zion due to fires caused by weather conditions.
Israel is also suffering from forest fires
It is noted that due to high temperatures and strong winds, forest fires are spreading rapidly. The police closed highway 38, a key transport artery leading from this area to Jerusalem. The fire initially broke out near Moshav Tarum, located in the center of the city.
Strong winds fanned the flames while rescuers battled the fire. Smoke from the fire, which occurred approximately 25 km away, was visible in Jerusalem, leading to a sharp deterioration in air quality. The flames from the second fire approached Route 6, the main highway, forcing the police to close the road near the cities of Petah Tikva and Pedaya.
Moreover, Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha announced that Ukraine is ready to assist Israel in the fight against forest fires by providing special equipment, including an aircraft and rescuers.
As a result, forest fires in the Amur region continue to spread, the consequences of which are becoming increasingly threatening for local residents. Fires have also engulfed Israel, where deteriorating weather conditions have led to an increase in the number of fires. Ukraine has already expressed its readiness to provide Israel with the necessary equipment and assistance in combating the consequences of the fires.
