At one of the checkpoints in Rivne region, a man in a drunken state cut his hands. This was reported by the State Border Guard Service.
«An aggressive passenger of a Mercedes minibus in a state of alcoholic intoxication cut his hands», – the message says.
The border guards were forced to take measures to disarm the man and provide him with first aid. Also, an ambulance and police were called to the scene.
Prior to this, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported a decrease in the number of attempts at illegal border crossing, indicating an improved situation at the border.
It is also worth noting that Polish customs officers discovered a record amount of undeclared cash in the suitcase of a Ukrainian woman traveling by train. The total amount of money was €355,000 and $46,000.
In another case, border guards detected a citizen of Israel who was trying to enter Ukraine using a forged passport. This incident took place at the «Luzhanka» checkpoint.
