Rope and zip line parks are becoming increasingly popular among residents and visitors of Kyiv, but not all attractions meet the required safety standards.

This and much more is discussed in the investigation of the 'Our Business' project, which can be watched at 21:00.

The danger in rope and zip line parks

A team of journalists went on a raid through the capital's rope and zip line parks to find out how safe these attractions are.

Worn fastenings, lack of certified equipment, and staff's ignorance of safety rules—all of these can pose a serious danger to visitors.

The release will address the following issues:

  • Why are activists concerned, but the authorities seem to ignore the problems?
  • Who is responsible for safety oversight in the parks?
  • Why might some attractions be linked to Russia?

Recently, an accident occurred in one of the capital's parks when a child fell from a rope track. They were hospitalized with multiple injuries, and an investigation into this incident is currently underway.

Additionally, the Pechersk District Prosecutor's Office of Kyiv has transferred the case of the deputy head of the capital investments management of Kyivzelenbud to the court, accusing them of embezzling budget funds and service forgery amounting to over 6 million hryvnias.

The popularity of rope and zip line parks in Kyiv is growing, but with it come safety issues. Journalists have uncovered a number of safety violations in the parks, which can create serious threats to visitors. It also emphasizes the accident that occurred in one of the parks and the fact that a case of budget embezzlement has been referred to court.
