Danger in the house: why Ukrainians will have to pay for gas inspection.

In Ukraine, 10 gas leaks are detected in each multi-storey building
LLC «Gas Distribution Networks of Ukraine» (brand «GASNETWORKS») reports a disappointing statistic: on average, 10 gas leaks are detected in each multi-storey building. This became possible due to the negligent attitude of HOAs and management companies towards the safety of residents and the ignoring of gas supply system inspections.
In order to address this problem, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine issued Order No. 292 dated 29.09.2023, which requires specialists from the company «GASNETWORKS» to inspect gas pipelines in multi-storey buildings to check their density and tightness.
"To date, we have inspected more than 10,000 multi-storey buildings and eliminated more than 107,000 gas leaks. Residents of the buildings where the technical inspection was conducted will receive one-Time bills for the services provided," representatives of the company report.
The company «GASNETWORKS» asks residents to pay these bills and emphasizes that the payment is made only once every 3 or 5 years, depending on the age of the building's gas networks. For buildings where the gas networks are over 25 years old, maintenance is carried out once every 3 years, and for newer buildings, once every 5 years.
