Odesa: a woman who sold her apartment and then set it on fire will stand trial.


A woman in Odesa who sold her apartment and then set it on fire will be tried. This became known from a statement by the National Police press service. According to the statement, the former owner broke into the apartment in the Khadyjbye district of the city and caused the fire. The fire was extinguished by rescuers, and the police launched an investigation.
According to the investigation, a man bought the apartment from the woman for 1.5 million UAH and allowed her to live there for free until new residents moved in. However, when it was Time for her to be evicted, the woman decided to take revenge. She returned to the apartment through a broken window and set the furniture on fire.
Currently, the investigation is ongoing to determine the source of the fire and calculate the damages. It has also been revealed that the woman had previously been convicted of fraud, domestic violence, and illegal possession of drugs. The perpetrator is being held in custody, and she faces up to 10 years in prison for these crimes.
