Occupants shot five Ukrainian prisoners of war in the Pokrovsk direction.

The Office of the Prosecutor General has initiated an investigation into the shooting of five captive servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by the occupants in the Pokrovsk direction. In November 2024, Russian occupants attacked the positions of Ukrainian defense forces near the village of Petrivka in the Pokrovsky district. They surrounded the Ukrainian defenders and forced them to leave their homes unarmed and lie on the ground. Then the Russian military shot the prisoners.
The Prosecutor General believes that the murder of prisoners of war is a gross violation of the Geneva Conventions and constitutes a serious international crime.
Investigative actions are being carried out to establish all the circumstances of the crime and the persons involved in its commission.
Recall that recently Russian troops also committed a war crime - shooting Ukrainian prisoners of war in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation and in Donetsk.
A video has appeared depicting the shooting of two Ukrainian prisoners of war in the Kursk region.
