Poland has introduced a new CUKR residency card for Ukrainians: details and conditions for obtaining.

Ukrainians who arrived in Poland after Russian aggression will be able to obtain the CUKR card for legal residence
Changes to the legislation that came into effect on July 1st will allow Ukrainian citizens who arrived in Poland after the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia to obtain a residency card called CUKR. This card will allow Ukrainians to legally live and work in Poland for three years. Applications for the CUKR card can be submitted online through a special service of the Office for Foreigners. It is estimated that the service will be available in April 2025. The CUKR card will grant Ukrainian citizens the same rights as foreigners living in Poland with a regular residency card.
Having the CUKR card will allow Ukrainians to legally reside in Poland for three years, to be employed without additional permits, to engage in entrepreneurial activities, and to leave the country for up to six months without losing the card. However, Ukrainians with the CUKR card lose the right to free medical services provided under the PESEL UKR status. To obtain the CUKR card, one must have a foreign passport.
