RF attacked Kiev, Kryvyi Rih, Khmelnytskyi with 'shahed' and 'Kinzhals': casualties reported.


Massive Russian attack on Ukraine
On the night of August 27, Russia carried out a massive attack on Ukraine using drones and various types of missiles. The Ukrainian Air Force reported that the enemy used 91 aerial attack means, of which 60 'shahed' kamikaze drones and 5 cruise missiles were shot down.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that as a result of this massive strike, four people were killed and 16 were wounded.
Attack details
The attack began with the use of drones entering Ukrainian airspace in waves from different directions. Around three in the morning, Russian MiG-31K fighters launched 'Kinzhal' missiles over the Kyiv region towards western regions of Ukraine. Almost simultaneously, strategic Tu-95MS bombers took off, releasing Kh-101 cruise missiles towards Kyiv around five in the morning.
Attack aftermath
In Kyiv and its outskirts, air defense forces destroyed about 15 attack drones and several missiles. As a result of the attack, debris fell in park areas in the Dnipro and Desna districts of Kyiv, causing forest floor fires. There were no direct casualties in the city itself.
In Khmelnytskyi region, 8 enemy targets were shot down. The attack led to fires in two private houses, with one of the residents suffering a concussion. Tragic consequences of the night attack occurred in Kryvyi Rih, where a missile hit a hotel. Two people were killed, five were injured. Rescuers continue search operations, as there may still be people under the rubble. In Zaporizhzhia, three people were killed and five were injured in the attack. Fires and building collapses were reported in the regional center and areas throughout the region.
Explosions were also heard in Rivne and Sumy. Air defense was active in Khmelnytskyi region.
