The special operations forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to carry out tasks in the Kursk region of Russia and have taken Russian soldiers captive. The press service of the special operations forces published a video confirming this fact.

At the same Time, while the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia Gerasimov announced the 'liberation' of the Kursk region from the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine, operators of the 73rd Center of Special Operations continue to successfully carry out tasks in this region. Over the past day, a group from the 73rd Center of Special Operations in Kursk destroyed an entire group of enemy troops during special actions. 'We continue to work!', the statement said.

Moreover, the soldiers of the special operations forces forced two Russian soldiers to surrender. One of them was taken to a safe place on a stretcher, while the other reached there on his own.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the Ukrainian forces continue active defensive operations in the territories of the Kursk and Belgorod regions of Russia.

Valery Gerasimov, Head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia, informed Russian President Vladimir Putin about the completion of the operation to 'liberate the Kursk region'. The headquarters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine claims that the statements from Russian representatives about the completion of combat operations are not true.

'The defensive operation of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in Kursk continues. The operational situation is complex, but our units are holding positions and fulfilling tasks, delivering effective fire damage to the enemy with all types of weapons,' the General Staff's message states.
