Trump decided to save the 'dying' Hollywood by imposing new tariffs.

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has imposed tariffs on all films made outside the country. The tariff rate is 100%, he announced on his Truth Social profile.
Trump made this decision to support the American film industry, which he believes is rapidly disappearing.
According to the president, the movie industry in the U.S. is quickly vanishing. Other countries are using various incentives to attract American filmmakers and studios. Such actions threaten national security and propaganda. Therefore, the Department of Commerce and the U.S. Trade Representative must immediately begin the process of imposing a 100% tariff on all foreign films imported into the country. The main goal is to film movies again in America.
According to Trump, films are often shot outside the U.S. not only for artistic reasons but also to gain tax breaks.
Trump also spoke about the decrease in the number of films being made. He accused the governor of California of incompetence and allowing the destruction of Hollywood. The U.S. President believes that other countries have stolen the American film industry and if they are not intent on making films in the U.S., then it is necessary to impose tariffs on imported films.
The new U.S. policy has prompted a reaction from China, which decided to limit the screenings of American films. This decision did not upset Trump.
