Today, July 12, severe weather is hitting Kharkiv and the region: a heavy downpour and strong winds of up to 20 m/s. Because of this, Balakliya is partially without electricity. Borshchivka and Verbivka are completely without power.

According to the head of the Regional State Administration, a child was injured during the severe weather in Kharkiv. A 7-year-old girl was struck by a tree in the Osnovyansky district of the city. The child has been hospitalized. Medical professionals are providing all necessary assistance.

Moreover, during the severe weather in the village of Pershotravneve in the Zmiiv community, a tree fell on a 56-year-old woman, resulting in her death.

'Three people were injured in Kharkiv due to the severe weather: the roof of a private house collapsed in the Saltivskyi district. Medical professionals are providing necessary assistance to the injured.'

Heavy rain, hail, and strong gusts of wind caused power poles to fall and damage roofs. Additionally, there are many fallen trees throughout the city. Emergency services are working to eliminate the consequences of the severe weather,' Synegubov informed.
