Explosions in Russia: drones attack the airfield
On the night of May 25, explosions occurred in the Tver region of Russia when drones attacked a local military airfield and the adjacent military unit. This was reported by
Glavkomciting Russian Telegram channels.
According to Tver region governor Igor Rudeni, five drones were destroyed in the sky over Tver, near Migalovo. He also stated that no casualties or destruction had been recorded and the situation remains under control.
Rudenya also reported that three more drones were shot down over the same area and air defense continues to operate in an enhanced mode.
According to Russian media, local residents heard explosions near the military airfield and noticed signs of a drone attack in the Migalovo area. This happened in the outskirts of the city, where there is an airfield used for both civilian aviation and the needs of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
In particular, this refers to the 'Migalovo' airfield, which was once a military settlement and is located near the eponymous neighborhood.
Videos and photos have appeared on social networks that likely show moments of the explosions near the Tver airfield.
Previous attacks on factories in Russia
Recall that on the night of May 23, drones attacked the PAO 'Energia' factory in the city of Yelets, Lipetsk region, which produces batteries for military drones. This event is also reflected in Russian Telegram channels and on the 'Glavkom' portal.
'Yelets Elemental Plant', known for its specialization in the production of chemical power sources used in various fields, including aviation, navy, radio electronics and dual-use systems, was also affected by drone attacks.
