Ukrainians explained who can receive one-time payments for Independence Day.


The government plans to issue assistance to citizens for Independence Day in 2025. This information was released by the Communication Department of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers.
Who has the right to receive assistance:
- Persons with disabilities due to war of various groups will receive different amounts of money - from 2,700 to 3,100 hryvnias;
- Persons with special merits to the country will receive 3,100 hryvnias;
- Combatants, participants in the Revolution of Dignity, and others - up to 1,000 hryvnias;
- Family members of fallen defenders, war veterans, and others - up to 650 hryvnias;
- Participants in the war, former prisoners of camps, children of partisans and underground fighters - up to 450 hryvnias.
Pensioners who are eligible for assistance will receive it together with their pension in August. Other categories of citizens can receive funds by application or automatically. There is also an option to transfer funds to the account of the relevant institution upon the employer's request or submitting an application by August 1 or October 1, 2025, with the required documents.
To receive assistance, you can personally visit the Pension Fund office or the Administrative Service Center, send it by mail, or submit an online application through the Pension Fund portal with an electronic signature.
In 2025, the government plans to issue assistance to certain categories of citizens of Ukraine for Independence Day. Among the recipients will be people with disabilities due to war, persons with special merits to the country, combat participants, pensioners, and others. Assistance can be received both personally at the Pension Fund office or the Administrative Service Center, as well as by sending an application by mail or submitting online through the Pension Fund portal.
