Ukrainian women to be registered for military service: details of the bill.

Changes to the military registration system of citizens of Ukraine
The Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security recommended adopting bill No. 12076 as a basis, which introduces important changes to the military registration system of citizens of Ukraine.
According to this bill, women who meet the health and age requirements and wish to undergo basic military service will be registered for military service along with conscripts before being sent to service. After completing basic military service, they will be transferred to the reserve of military personnel.
The bill also stipulates that women will undergo a medical examination before being sent for practical classes in basic military training.
Starting from September 1, 2025, basic military training will be introduced for students of higher education institutions, citizens planning to enter public service, and those who wish to study at the training centers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Men are also subject to restrictions: individuals under 60 years of age will not be allowed to enter service in local self-government bodies without undergoing basic military training or service, except for individuals recognized as unfit for health reasons.
Requirements for basic training for civil servants will start to apply after the end of martial law, but not earlier than one year after its introduction.
We remind you that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported on discussions regarding mobilization issues with Western partners.
