Ukrainian Wind Energy Association calls for avoiding accumulation of debts to green energy producers in 2025.

Ukrainian Wind Energy Association calls for balanced decisions
The Ukrainian Wind Energy Association emphasizes the importance of making balanced decisions to ensure full settlements with renewable energy producers and avoid debt accumulation. This was stated by Andriy Konechenkov, Chairman of the Board of the Ukrainian Wind Energy Association.
According to him, it is important to avoid debt accumulation as it negatively affects not only the investment climate, but also the operation and existence of the companies themselves.
“The proposed PSO costs by the regulator in the tariff structure amounting to almost UAH 30.8 billion look, from our point of view, as minimally necessary and offer hope that there will be no increase in debts next year. But there is a forecast of the ‘Guaranteed Buyer’ - UAH 31 billion, this also needs to be taken into account,” emphasized Konechenkov.
He also called on the NEURC to make a balanced decision on the level of the electricity transmission tariff, which will ensure full settlements with RES producers in 2025 and provide ‘Ukrenergo’ with financial resources to perform its function as a system operator.
Recall that Vladimir Omelchenko, Director of Energy Programs at the Razumkov Centre, stated that setting a non-deficit transmission tariff for NEC ‘Ukrenergo’ will allow this company to resume effective cooperation with international organizations.
