A new procedure for assigning payments has been introduced in Ukraine: the Pension Fund will replace the Ministry of Social Policy.

As of July 1, a new system for administering social payments has been launched in Ukraine - now all types of state assistance are centrally assigned and paid by the Pension Fund of Ukraine. This change is aimed at simplifying bureaucratic procedures and ensuring faster disbursement of funds to citizens, without changing the amounts of assistance and conditions for receiving them.
The Minister of Social Policy, Oksana Zholnovich, explained that for citizens, in fact, nothing changes, rather, more opportunities arise. Now, in addition to the usual administrative service centers and local representatives, about 500 service centers of the Pension Fund have been added, along with the ability to submit documents online through a personal account.
The main changes concern the internal processes of the 'back office'. Now, thanks to the digital system, the payment assignment process will become faster, and after a decision is made, the funds will be automatically directed to the citizens' accounts without unnecessary bureaucracy.
Citizens already receiving assistance will continue to receive it without additional requests. Some specialists from social protection departments have been transferred to the Pension Fund to ensure uninterrupted operation and make state assistance more effective.
As a result of the changes made, the process of receiving social payments by Ukrainians has become more convenient and effective. The introduction of a centralized administration system will facilitate faster assignment and payment of state assistance, as well as simplify citizens' interaction with social protection departments.
