Manufacturers attribute the price increase to the rise in production costs. 'This year, the price of raw materials has increased more than ever - by 27%. The cost of electricity has increased by over 40%. Gas has also become more expensive. All this affects the cost of the finished products,' said Sergey Vovchenko, head of the company 'Milk Alliance.'
According to retail chains, as of early November, there is a trend of price increase. This is especially noticeable in the category of dairy products, where butter is already being sold for over 100 hryvnias per package.
The only product that decreased in price in October was sugar. Its price decreased by 4.2% compared to September of this year.
