Every day at 9 AM, Ukrainians honor the memory of all those whose lives were taken by the Russian-Ukrainian war. Today we remember Olga Grytsenko. 

Olga Grytsenko, senior sergeant, medic in the 413th separate rifle battalion, was killed on March 3, 2024. This was reported by the Dnipro National University named after Oles Honchar. 

Olga Grytsenko was born on September 23, 1975, in Dnipro, then Dnipropetrovsk. She worked as a nurse. Since 2014, she had been a volunteer, particularly helping displaced persons and those affected by military actions, conducting first aid training.

It was enough to just say that you have a problem – Olya was the first to run to solve that problem, – recalls her friend Svitlana. – She had such a core, if she decided, then that was how it was. And everyone came at her first call... She was such a person who needed some activity. She was a patriot, worried about everyone. A very bright, energetic person. She could call at two in the morning and say I have an idea – tomorrow we organize a celebration.

The woman found out about her friend's death when someone called her mobile phone.

My husband called her number and a woman answered, saying that Olya is no longer with us. There was a strike right in the unit where she served. Only she died. She was near Kupiansk

Olga studied at the Dnipro National University in the Faculty of Medical Technologies, Diagnostics, and Rehabilitation (field 'Social Work'), but did not complete her studies because in 2023 she joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to her friend, even her relatives did not know about this decision.

Olga Grytsenko died on March 1, 2024, near Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region from the strike of a guided aerial bomb (GAB).
