The evacuation of wounded soldiers from Vuhledar in the Donetsk region was complicated, but the withdrawal from the city allowed our troops to minimize losses.
The wounded were evacuated, and the conditions were very difficult because the enemy pressed from the flanks, complicating logistics significantly. First and foremost, it was about withdrawing our servicemen from Vuhledar, from positions on its right and left. But the wounded were taken out. Of course, this is war. There cannot be no losses. But by withdrawing to another line, taking it, we minimized them as much as possible
According to him, holding the city any further would have been critical for our units. Meanwhile, the decision to withdraw from Vuhledar was made by order and depending on the circumstances.
