Ukrenergo specialists have successfully restored the operation of the high-voltage line supplying electricity to the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. This plant is temporarily under occupation, so the restoration of the line will allow it to receive energy from the controlled territory.After several hours of operation on diesel generators, the ZNPP is once again powered. Representatives of Ukrenergo explained that the work took longer due to safety threats to personnel.

Recall that on July 4, an emergency shutdown occurred due to shelling of the station's power line. The ZNPP had to switch to reserve power from diesel generators, but this is an option that cannot be used indefinitely, as it does not ensure the full functioning of all safety systems.

The Minister of Energy of Ukraine, Herman Halushchenko, stated that the shutdown of the power plant and the shelling are acts of nuclear terrorism by Russia.
