Auchan, Metro and Varus updated prices for buckwheat, sunflower oil and bread in February.


At the beginning of February, prices for buckwheat, sunflower oil, and bread increased in supermarkets.
According to the Minfin portal, this is becoming a problem for many people, especially those with low incomes. Although the price changes were minor, their impact on budgets should not be underestimated.
Buckwheat
At the beginning of February, the price for buckwheat was 33.07 hryvnias per kilogram. The highest prices were recorded in the Megamarket chain - 40 hryvnias, while the lowest prices were in Auchan, where buckwheat costs 27.90 hryvnias.
Sunflower oil
Prices for sunflower oil also increased. On average, at the beginning of February, refined Oleina oil cost 73.55 hryvnias for 850 ml. The highest prices were recorded in Auchan - 75.70 hryvnias, while the lowest prices were in Megamarket - 69.70 hryvnias. The price of refined oil from Shchedry Dar increased from 74.26 to 75.96 hryvnias.
Bread
The average price for 650 grams of sliced white bread remained unchanged - 38.75 hryvnias. The highest prices for bread were in Novus - 39.99 hryvnias, while the lowest prices were in Megamarket, where it cost 37.50 hryvnias per loaf. The price of sliced bread 'Tsar' increased to 40.24 hryvnias for 600 grams.
