Cleaning at the Pentagon: three senior officials dismissed over allegations of a new leak.

Tensions continue to unfold at the Pentagon: following the scandal involving the disclosure of military plans, signs of a new leak of information have emerged. Three senior officials have been dismissed on charges of passing internal data to third parties - the dismissed officials speak negatively about these accusations.
One of the Pentagon employees, Dan Caldwell, was one of the most influential military advisors at the U.S. Department of Defense. Along with him, Darrin Selnik, the deputy chief of staff to the secretary, and Colin Carroll, the chief of staff to the deputy secretary of defense, were also sent into retirement, reports Bild.
Caldwell first commented on his resignation in a post on X, stating that it was related to the illegal disclosure of information, and accused the Pentagon of defamation: 'We have still not been informed about what exactly we are being accused of, whether an investigation is being conducted, and whether it has ever occurred regarding these leaks.'
The three dismissed fully deny passing any sensitive or classified information. According to them, their former colleagues at the Pentagon are 'unjustly suspecting them'. They believe that the Pentagon's actions are baseless.
'We are very disappointed with how our service at the Department of Defense ended,' the three employees stated together.
In March, National Security Advisor Mike Waltz accidentally added a journalist from the American magazine The Atlantic to a closed chat group in the Signal messenger. In this chat, U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegset also emphasized the importance of Dan Caldwell, calling him 'the best contact for the National Security Council' in preparing strikes against Houthi militants in Yemen.
After the Signal Gate scandal, the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump began to more actively combat information leaks.
