Absurd situation with gas bills in Cherkasy region
Residents of Cherkasy region find themselves in a difficult situation when they receive two bills for gas supply services from different companies at the same Time. Both companies demand payment and threaten legal action in case of non-payment, which creates serious concern among consumers, especially the elderly.
「Residents of Cherkasy region receive two gas bills. One from 'Cherkasigaz', the other – from the Cherkasy branch of 'Gas Distribution Networks of Ukraine'. And the question is: where to pay?」
Head of the Union of Consumers of Communal Services Oleg Popenko believes that this problem is becoming increasingly relevant in Ukraine, and it is particularly difficult for pensioners who sometimes pay both bills out of fear of being left without gas or facing legal problems.
The expert emphasizes the need to contact the NKREKP and the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection in such situations and recommends keeping all payment documents. He also expresses outrage at the lack of clear explanations from government authorities.
